36+ Years — One of the Top Youth Athletic Programs in the Nation
The Atlanta Celtics Youth Athletic Program began in 1990 because of the need to provide additional opportunities for students that loved sports and were interested in the possibility of a career in athletics. We began with one team and are currently averaging twelve teams per season.
Over the years, the Atlanta Celtics have become a household name to spring/summer fans, college recruiters, high school students, evaluators, and professional scouts. Because of the program’s long-term success, sportswriters, prep school evaluators, and college coaches rate the Atlanta Celtics as one of the top youth athletic programs in the nation.
Our reputation is built on the utmost integrity in collaborating with players, parents, coaches, and scouts.
We are dedicated to developing student-athletes by getting them qualified, accepted, and graduated from colleges throughout the country.
We feed into the lives of all students we serve, instilling values that will make them conscientious citizens and community leaders.
The Atlanta Celtics Brand is well known nationally for its excellent reputation — more players have reached the NBA, McDonald All-American status, and collegiate coaching from our program than any other youth athletic organization.
There is no greater stamp of approval than an alumnus allowing their child to follow in their footsteps — second-generation Celtics now compete in the program.
Georgia, South & North Carolina, Florida, and Alabama continue to be states that produce a high number of incredibly talented student-athletes. The competition to recruit those players is extremely intense. Our primary objective is to demonstrate our ability to give those students a distinct advantage in achieving their goals.
Over seven hundred players have earned Division One college scholarships through our program.
The Atlanta Celtics are a household name to spring/summer fans, college recruiters, high school students, evaluators, and professional scouts nationwide.
Service is at the core of who we are. We encourage our students to participate in three annual community events.
January — Saturday of MLK Weekend
During the MLK Weekend of Service, we prepare box lunches for the homeless. We work with churches in the Metro Atlanta communities and assist in the distribution of those meals. This event teaches our students compassion and the importance of serving those in need.
November & December
Prior to Thanksgiving and Christmas each year, our students participate in food distribution programs, helping ensure families in our community have meals during the holiday season.
Year-Round
The Celtic staff and players serve as counselors and instructors for youth in the community, teaching and inspiring the next generation. This activity provides an excellent opportunity for our students to understand the true values of serving as role models.
We hold a special place in our heart for those young men that compete on the college level, earn a degree, and go on to achieve greatness.
More McDonald All-Americans have come through our program than any other youth athletic organization.
Numerous Celtics alumni have reached the highest level — playing in the NBA and professionally in leagues around the world.
Alumni have gone on to coach at the collegiate level from our organization.
We are extremely proud of those who earned a college degree and are now living productive lives with their families while making a meaningful difference in their local communities.
